1. Team Admin's can lock specific settings to keep consistency across tutorials.

Either, capture a new tutorial or select an existing tutorial to use as your Template.

2. Hover a tutorial & then Click Settings

3. For this example, let's say we want to lock our layout settings. Let's set our Layout settings just how we like them.

Click Layout

4. Click Image Zoom

5. Click 75%

6. Click Close, once you are done selecting the settings you'd like for all your team tutorials moving forward.

Please note: If you have pre-existing tutorials this is where you'd apply the changes to all tutorials. Locking will not backdate.

7. Click Close to return to the dashboard.

8. Click Complete to return to the dashboard.

9. Now that we've set up our Settings Template, let's go "Lock" the setting area.

Click the Profile Icon.

10. Click Settings

11. Click Admin

12. First thing to note here is you can choose if you wish to disable the Public privacy option from your team's tutorials. This will put a UI lock on the Public option so that it can not be selected.

13. Did you know...you're able to turn off that gray noty message that pops up in the upper right asking if you'd like to update or add audio using text to speech?

14. As a review measure, you can make all tutorials deactivated by default, if someone on your team needs to review it before it gets enabled. Then lock the "Activate" ability to admins only shown on step 19
Note:This would only affect non-admin creators.

15. Alternatively, choose if you'd like to keep team settings or enable individual settings. This means each creator uses their own defaults & its not going to use the team set default values.

16. Here are some Media lock options as well. You can lock down at varying levels.

17. We can click on the lock icon next to Layout to only lock the "layout" settings.

18. You're also able to lock down Privacy, Theme, Audio, Music, & Quiz.

19. Now, if you've chosen on step 14 to deactivate tutorials at creation, you can also lock the ability to "activate" those deactivated tutorials to Admins only here.

What’s new

Locks used to apply to a whole feature, so keeping one setting consistent meant taking every related option away from your team. Now admins choose the level: lock a feature entirely, or lock only the specific option you want your team to use and leave the rest open.

  • Set up a tutorial with the settings you want first. It acts as the template your locks are based on.
  • Locks don't apply to tutorials that already exist. To update those, apply your template's settings to all tutorials before you lock.
  • Restricting the Activate option to admins only affects non-admin creators.

What you can do

  • Lock a single settingClick the lock next to Layout to lock only your layout settings, without locking anything else.
  • Lock a whole featureLock Privacy, Theme, Audio, Music, Quiz, or Media options so every creator uses the team's choice.
  • Block public tutorialsLock the Public privacy option so it can't be selected on any team tutorial.
  • Review before publishingMake new tutorials deactivated by default and let only admins activate them, so content gets reviewed before it goes live.

Where to find it

Click your Profile icon, then Settings and Admin. Click the lock icon next to any setting or feature to lock it for your team. Walk through it in the tutorial above.
