What's New

The PowerFilter used to only show items that included your selection. But sometimes you're looking for what's missing, like which tutorials don't have audio yet. Now every filter tab supports Exclude, so you can search for tutorials and libraries that leave out a specific item.

1. Filtering your tutorials is super easy with our Tutorial PowerFilter!

First, click on the Filter icon.

2. This PowerFilter allows you to filter by Website, Category, Tag, Creator, Feature, Privacy, and Permission.
Within each filter, we use "OR" but between each filter, we use an "AND."
Example:
iorad or Gmail(Website) AND Edit or Read(Permissions) AND ...

3. You can also choose to Exclude items from each filter tab.

4. Website includes all captured domains or apps. However, this also includes "Desktop" which would be all the tutorials captured using the iorad Desktop tool.

Let's click on iorad.com.

5. Now let's filter it down using Categories

6. For this example, Type in Edit Tutorial

7. We'll select the category, Edit Tutorial

8. Ok, now let's filter by Tags.

9. Type iorad

10. We'll select iorad Help Center tag.

11. Click Creators

12. This Creator filter includes all team creators.
For this example, Click Lauren Taylor.

13. Now let's select some Features to filter down even more.

14. Let's click on Audio

15. To filter down by Tutorial privacy, Click Privacy.

16. Select the privacy of interest here. For this example, Click Public.

*Locked will show for any tutorial that has upgraded features applied and was locked due to an account downgrade.

17. Lastly, Click on Permissions.

18. This allows you to include tutorials that you have Edit access or Read/View access.

We'll choose Edit.

19. Here you can Save this filter for future use, Reset to start over, or just Apply it temporarily to your view.

20. Click Save Filter

21. Type in a Filter name

22. Click Save

23. Here you can pin your custom filter, edit, or delete it.

24. Click the Pin to pin it to your dashboard.

25. Click Custom Filter to apply it.

26. It's now applied & filtering your tutorials.

27. Click on the Powerfilter again to make adjustments or apply a new filter.

28. Click the pencil icon to edit the existing custom filter.

29. You can rename it and make any adjustments here.

30. Click Apply & Close

31. You can quickly Reset or Remove the filter. Or say we want to modify our filter a bit. No problem, click Modify.

32. It'll bring you right back here to make some quick adjustments.
If you would like to save this filter to use later, you can save it as a Preset Filter.

To do so, Click Save.

33. Type in a filter name to save this as a pre-set filter.

34. Click Save

35. With your mouse, hover the Filter name to edit or delete the preset filter.

36. Click Close

37. That's it. You've returned back to your Tutorial dashboard.

Where to find it

On your dashboard, click the Filter icon to open the PowerFilter. In any tab, including Website, Category, Tags, Creators, Features, Privacy, and Permissions, choose Exclude for the items you want to leave out. Walk through it in the tutorial above.

What you can do

  • Find what's missing
Exclude Audio in the Features tab to see every tutorial that still needs a voiceover.
  • Leave out a website or app
Exclude a captured domain, or Desktop, to focus on tutorials built everywhere else.
  • Hide a tag or category
Filter out archived, internal, or already-reviewed content so only what needs attention is left.
  • Mix include and exclude
Include one filter and exclude another, like tutorials for a specific website that don't have audio.

Good to know

  • Items within the same tab are combined with OR, and different tabs are combined with AND.
  • The Website tab includes Desktop, which covers every tutorial captured with the iorad Desktop tool.
  • You can save any filter as a custom filter and pin it to your dashboard to reuse it later.
