What's New

AI Find & Replace already swaps text in your screenshots for you. With this update, you get full manual control over how that replacement text looks, so it blends in with the original screen instead of standing out.

1. Our newest AI Beta Feature is found within our Mask Content tool.

You can use our Find & Replace feature to change any text on your screenshots within your tutorials.

2. Click Mask Content

3. Click on the Data Detection dropdown to select Find & Replace.

4. Click on Find & Replace.

5. Type in the word you'd like to find in the screenshot(s).

6. Type in the replacement word here.

7. Here you can choose between searching between the Current Step or between All Steps.

8. Okay, let's watch it do its thing.

Click Find & Replace

9. It will take a little bit to load.

10. You'll see on the right hand side in the screenshot where iorad will identify the word inputted on the screenshot with the pink dashed line.

11. On the left, you'll be able to manually adjust if needed the font family, style, size, color, and background color.

12. With the additional character in the word "Email" its a little to snug up against the word "Search" and needs shifted down as well. Let's make some small adjustments. Drag the far right dotted line a little bit right.

12b. Drop

13. Let's do the same for the left hand dotted line. Drag the line a little right as well.

13b. Drop

14. Let's do the same again with the right hand dotted line.

14b. Drop

15. It needs to be a little larger font size. Type in 16

16. Last position adjustment we'll do is shift the top line down a smidge.

16b. Drop

17. Now you'll see that Email is mimicking the size of font as Search & is properly aligned. However, the color feels a little off. Let's change that next.

18. Click Font Color

19. Click on the eye dropper and then you can select the color on the screen.

20. Click Select

21. You'll see now the font color matches up better.

22. Click Apply to Selection

23. This one looks pretty good with no manual adjustment.

24. Click Apply to Selection

25. That's how our Find & Replace feature works in a nutshell.

What you can adjust

If the AI's replacement doesn't quite match its surroundings, you can now fine-tune:

  • Font family and style
Match the typeface used in the app you captured.
  • Font size
Keep a longer or shorter word looking natural.
  • Font and background color
Use the eyedropper to sample colors straight from your screenshot.
  • Position and size
Drag the dotted edges until the text lines up with nearby elements.

Where to find it

In the editor, open Mask Content, choose Find & Replace from the Data Detection dropdown, and run a search. The fine-tune controls appear on the left once iorad finds a match. Walk through it in the tutorial above.
